These Terms of Use and Community Guidelines ("Terms") govern access to and use of The Boss Network mobile application and its related services. By creating an account or using the community features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

 

Age eligibility

The Boss Network is intended only for adults who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an underage person created an account, we will take reasonable steps to remove the account and associated information.

The Boss Network is intended only for adults who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18. Do not create an account or use the app if you are under 18.

 

Your account

Provide accurate information, protect your password and device access, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone else without permission, or use the app after your access has been suspended or terminated.

 

Community Guidelines

The Boss Network is a professional, encouraging community. When creating a profile, uploading a photo, joining a Circle, or sending content, you agree to:

- treat other members with respect;
- encourage constructive, good-faith participation;
- respect privacy, boundaries, and confidential information;
- share only content you have the right to share; and
- use reporting and blocking tools when safety concerns arise.

 

You must not post, send, upload, encourage, or link to content or behaviour involving:

- harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, intimidation, or targeted abuse;
- hate speech or attacks based on identity or protected characteristics;
- sexual exploitation, nudity, sexually explicit content, or content involving minors;
- violence, self-harm encouragement, dangerous activity, or credible threats;
- fraud, scams, impersonation, deceptive conduct, or illegal activity;
- spam, unsolicited promotion, repeated solicitation, or malicious links;
- another person's private, confidential, or identifying information without permission;
- intellectual-property infringement or content you do not have permission to use;
- malware, attempts to compromise the service, or evasion of safety controls; or
- any other content or conduct that is unlawful, unsafe, seriously disruptive, or inconsistent with the purpose of The Boss Network.

 

User content

You retain ownership of content you create. You give The Boss Network a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This licence ends when the content and associated account data are deleted, except where limited retention is legally permitted or reasonably required for safety and enforcement.

You are responsible for your content and for ensuring it does not violate these Terms or another person's rights. Do not treat a Circle or direct message as a place to share information that would create serious harm if disclosed.

 

Moderation, reporting, and blocking

Members can report users or content and block other members inside the app. We may review reports, investigate suspected violations, restrict features, remove content, preserve relevant safety records where permitted, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access. We may take action without advance notice when reasonably necessary to protect members, the service, or others.

Submitting a knowingly false or abusive report is itself a violation of these Terms. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services; The Boss Network is not an emergency-response service.

 

Goals, wellbeing, and professional advice

The app provides tools for reflection, accountability, and personal or professional goal setting. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice. Users remain responsible for their own decisions and should consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

 

Service availability

We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. We work to provide a reliable and secure service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every error will be prevented. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.

 

Account termination and deletion

You may delete your account from Settings > Delete Account or use our public account-deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, or misuse the service. Account deletion and limited retention are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

 

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app and community evolve. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

 

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in a user's jurisdiction.
